The olympic flag bears the famous five rings that represent the five continents. The flag first flew at the 1920 Olympics in Belgium. At the end of the games, the mayor of the current-city gives it to the mayor of the next host city. That’s where it’s kept for the next four years, until the Opening Ceremony of the next Olympic Games.
